Water Detector(WD-1)
Use the WD-1 water detector in one of two ways. First, to simply monitor the floor or a space for water…essentially as a leak-detector. Or use it as a water-verification monitor. When used in this way, the water detector is placed where runoff will accumulate (or where water is being introduced to the growing medium). Each output (solenoid or pump) on the Aqua-x can be “assigned” to a specific WD-1. Every time the Aqua-X activates the solenoid or pump assigned to the WD-1, the WD-1 must detect water within an adjustable delay time. If it does not detect water (due to pump or solenoid failure) the Aqua-x sends out a user notification of the “irrigation failure”. Connect up to 25 WD-1 detectors to a single Aqua-X.
Use two water detectors to activate the new Auto-Fill function on the Aqua-X Pro. Position one water detector at the bottom of the nutrient tank and one at the top of the tank. When the liquid level drops below the bottom sensor, the Aqua-X Pro activates a solenoid or pump, and the tank fills back up to the sensor at the top.
*The WD sensors only detect water leaks from municipal, well, or nutrient-infused water. Reverse Osmosis / RO water may have such low dissolved solids content that the Water Detector can’t detect RO water leaks.
