Onboard Display & Interface
The Quest 746 features a digital display screen which can be used to view and set alarms, and can be password protected. Set the date/time, language, and activate alarms. The data logger tracks unit run hours and keeps an alarm log with the code and a short description, time & date of the trigger as well as that of the fault resolution.
M-CORR Technology
This commercial dehumidifier uses Quest’s patented M-CORR technology, which increases device efficiency using multiple recovery coils to cool air and recycle energy. Quest devices with M-CORR technology use less energy than traditional dehumidifiers, pulling 30 percent more water from the air and expelling less heat. More details about this energy-saving technology below.
Maintain Optimal Humidity Levels
The Quest 746 Overhead dehumidifier effectively removes moisture and controls humidity, eliminating costly quality errors, preventing rust and corrosion, and maintaining the correct humidity levels for indoor growing spaces. Overhead installation also saves floor space and helps mitigate moist air trapped near the ceiling.
Efficient Operation
The Quest 746 Overhead Dehumidifier removes an industry-leading 730 pints of moisture daily, making it one of the most efficient high-capacity designs available. Quest’s patent-pending coil technology allows for higher efficiency in a smaller unit. The 746 High-Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier pulls only 11 amps and has a maximum efficiency of 8.1 pints/kWh. No high-capacity dehumidifier can remove 500 pints of moisture in such a small frame.
Using fewer amps means the unit generates less heat—another bonus if you use this model in growing spaces.
Quest 746 High-Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier Additional Features
- Long Power Cord: A 10-foot power cord makes installation easy in almost any location.
- Superior MERV 13 Filtration: A MERV 13 filters air exiting the dehumidifier, catching particles like smoke, smog, bacteria, microscopic allergens, and debris. Filter changes are suggested every 6-8 weeks if the dehumidifier is used in growing spaces.
- R454B Refrigerant: This version of the Quest 746 now uses R454B Refrigerant. R454B is more energy efficient and has a 75 percent lower global warming potential (GWP) than R-410A. While R410A has a GWP between 1,890 and 2,100, R454B boasts a GWP of just 466, making it a more environmentally friendly option. R454B offers similar performance to R410A, but it is mildly flammable (A2L) and requires specific handling procedures.
- 5-Year Compressor Warranty: It’s backed by a 5-year compressor and refrigerant system warranty and a 1-year parts and labor warranty.
- Auto Restart: After power outages, this high-capacity dehumidifier returns to its previous settings once power is restored.
- Integrated Handle: Integrated heavy-duty handles make transporting easier. The threaded rod handles can attach to a 3/8-inch rod (not included) if you use it as an overhead dehumidifier. Moving this 280-pound model will require at least two people.
- Low Voltage Control Option: Wire the remote dehumidistat using a low-voltage terminal block.
- Remote Humidistat Required: Quest 746 High-Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier requires a remote humidistat for use. We recommend the Quest DEH3000R controller.
Quest 746 California Title 24 Compliance
The Quest 746 480V dehumidifier meets California Title 24 energy standards for both ducted (whole-home) and non-ducted (portable) installations. This compliance ensures the unit meets strict energy efficiency requirements for commercial applications in California and other jurisdictions with similar standards.
- Non-Ducted Energy Factor: 6.3 Pints/kWh @ 65°F | 60% RH
- Ducted Energy Factor: 7.1 Pints/kWh @ 73°F | 60% RH
QUEST’S PATENTED TECHNOLOGY | M-CoRR™
Providing the most energy-efficient dehumidification
The secret behind Quest’s unparalleled energy-efficiency is their patented multi-coil design, M-CoRR (short for Multi-Coil Refrigeration Recovery). You won’t find this technology anywhere else.
Engineered for maximum performance, Quest’s M-CoRR is the most energy-efficient and the best return on your investment, paying for itself in energy savings over time. M-CoRR’s innovative design performs better over a wider range of dew points, even at colder temperatures, and maintains capacity regardless of airflow fluctuations.
How Does Quest’s M-CoRR Technology Work?
Traditional refrigerant dehumidifiers have a single refrigerant-filled evaporator coil that cools the air passing through it to extract the water from the air. Once air cools below the dew point, water condenses. Energy captured in the refrigerant during water removal returns to the air in the form of heat at the second coil, the condenser.
The magic of Quest’s M-CoRR Technology is its multiple coils. Quest designed the typical evaporator coil into three separate refrigerant-filled coils: the pre-evaporator, evaporator, and recovery coil.
The first coil, the pre-evaporator, cools the air. The second coil, the evaporator, cools it even further to pull out the water. The third coil recovers the energy from pre-cooling the air and recycles it back into the evaporator for reuse.
What Are The Benefits Of Using M-CoRR?
Highest Efficiency. Lowest Energy Usage
Higher efficiency = lower electricity usage per pint of water removed. Thus, M-CoRR technology pulls more water out of the air per kilowatt hour than any other dehumidification technology. Period.
Less Heat Output
Inefficiency = Heat. It takes energy to run the fan and compressor in your dehumidifier. During dehumidification, this energy converts to heat that warms your room. The more energy your dehumidifier consumes, the more heat it expels. Quest dehumidifiers featuring M-CoRR technology are the most efficient dehumidifiers in the world, which means they put less heat in your environment.
More Capacity, Smaller Footprint
Your space is valuable. Dehumidifiers powered by M-CoRR are more compact. This technology averages over 20% smaller than traditional LGR dehumidification technology of the same capacity.
Wide Operating Rage. Tighter Control
Thanks to its multiple coils, M-CoRR technology equips Quest to maintain performance better than traditional dehumidification equipment, even in cooler temperatures and dew points, with less frequent and faster defrost cycles. Less time spent in defrost neutralizes spikes in temperature and relative humidity, keeping the environment consistent and, in indoor cultivations, VPD dialed in.
