Quest 205 High-Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier
Achieve greater high-capacity moisture removal with the redesigned Quest 205 High-Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier. This unit can remove up to 200 pints of moisture daily at 7.7 pints per kWh from large greenhouses.
If not properly maintained, excessive humidity causes costly issues that result in lost grows and lost income. With ducting options and an onboard dehumidistat, the Quest 205 can help you quickly establish and maintain desirable relative humidity levels.
WATER REMOVAL: 200 Pints | 95 Liters | 25 Gallons
EFFICIENCY: 7.7 Pints/kWh
SUPPLY VOLTAGE: 110–120V, 1 Phase, 60 Hz AMPS: 10
ENERGY FACTOR: 3.6 L/kWh
OPERATING TEMP: 56 F Min – 95 F Max
AIR FILTER: MERV-13
DIMENSIONS: 26.8” L x 23.6” W x 20.9” H
Onboard Dehumidistat
Set the Quest 205 High Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier’s advanced onboard dehumidistat to your optimal RH so it will operate when needed to maintain that set point. When relative humidity rises above your set point, the dehumidifier automatically begins running and will continue to operate until the humidity level drops 4 to 6 percent below your presets. Once this is achieved, the unit will cycle off.
Ducting Options
Ducting is not a problem with the Quest 205 High-Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier. Featuring dual exhausts, the dehumidifier can be fitted to suit your individual ducting needs.
- No Ducting (Recommended): Allows you to install your dehumidifier easily, set the desired preset, and enable it to perform as needed.
- Ducted Return and Supply: Draws warm, humid air through the inlet near the ceiling. Then, it returns dry, warm air through the outlet exhausts.
- Remote Area and Ducted Supply: Draws hot, humid air from the same space as the dehumidifier. Then, it ducts dry, warmer air into the dehumidified space. It works well for placing the unit in another space, such as crawlspaces.
- Remote Area and Ducted Return Only: This option allows the unit to draw in air from the humid room, process it. It then releases the dry, warm air into its space.
Plug and Play and Overhead Installation
The Quest 205 High Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier can easily be installed on the ground or floor without intricate wiring and ducting installation. If your floor space is limited, you can install it overhead, near the ceiling, using Quest Hanging Brackets and chains. This installation allows the unit to process warm, moist air more effectively near the ceiling. Simply install the unit with Quest Hanging Brackets and chains for overhead mounting.
When installing on the ground level, allow 6.75 inches of clearance between the bottom of the unit and the floor drain for gravity drainage.
Quest 205 High-Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier Additional Features
- R454B Refrigerant: The Quest 205 High-Efficiency Overhead Dehumidifier now uses R454B Refrigerant. As a result, it is more energy efficient and has a 75 percent lower global warming potential than R-410A.
- Dual Ducts: Dual ducts more efficiently draw in more moisture-laden air.
- Fan Only Runs When Dehumidifying: The fan only runs when the compressor is running and the unit is dehumidifying.
- Daisy Chain Option: Wire up to six models in large warehouse spaces. All six will run off the same Quest DEH 3000 R sensor, so all models must be in the same room or greenhouse.
- MERV 13: Offers superior filtration with a standard 18 x 18 x 2-inch MERV 13 filter. Removes more harmful contaminants from the air, therefore, it is 20% more effective than MERV-11.
- Gravity Drain: Uses gravity to drain condensate to an outside source or acceptable indoor drain.
- Operation Temperature: Operates in temperatures between 56 to 95 degrees F.
- Auto Restart: The unit will automatically resume operation during a power outage.
- Low Voltage Terminal: The Quest dehumidifier has a low-voltage terminal block for easier wiring to an external control.
QUEST’S PATENTED TECHNOLOGY | M-CoRR™
Providing the most energy-efficient dehumidification
The secret behind Quest’s unparalleled energy-efficiency is their patented multi-coil design, M-CoRR (short for Multi-Coil Refrigeration Recovery). You won’t find this technology anywhere else.
Engineered for maximum performance, Quest’s M-CoRR is the most energy-efficient and the best return on your investment, paying for itself in energy savings over time. M-CoRR’s innovative design performs better over a wider range of dew points, even at colder temperatures, and maintains capacity regardless of airflow fluctuations.
How Does Quest’s M-CoRR Technology Work?
Traditional refrigerant dehumidifiers have a single refrigerant-filled evaporator coil that cools the air passing through it to extract the water from the air. Once air cools below the dew point, water condenses. Energy captured in the refrigerant during water removal returns to the air in the form of heat at the second coil, the condenser.
The magic of Quest’s M-CoRR Technology is its multiple coils. Quest designed the typical evaporator coil into three separate refrigerant-filled coils: the pre-evaporator, evaporator, and recovery coil.
The first coil, the pre-evaporator, cools the air. The second coil, the evaporator, cools it even further to pull out the water. The third coil recovers the energy from pre-cooling the air and recycles it back into the evaporator for reuse.
What Are The Benefits Of Using M-CoRR?
Highest Efficiency. Lowest Energy Usage
Higher efficiency = lower electricity usage per pint of water removed. M-CoRR technology pulls more water out of the air per kilowatt hour than any other dehumidification technology. Period.
Less Heat Output
Inefficiency = Heat. It takes energy to run the fan and compressor in your dehumidifier. During dehumidification, this energy converts to heat that warms your room. The more energy your dehumidifier consumes, the more heat it expels. Quest dehumidifiers featuring M-CoRR technology are the most efficient dehumidifiers in the world, which means they put less heat in your environment.
More Capacity, Smaller Footprint
Your space is valuable. Dehumidifiers powered by M-CoRR are more compact. This technology averages over 20% smaller than traditional LGR dehumidification technology of the same capacity.
Wide Operating Rage. Tighter Control
Thanks to its multiple coils, M-CoRR technology equips Quest to maintain performance better than traditional dehumidification equipment, even in cooler temperatures and dew points, with less frequent and faster defrost cycles. Less time spent in defrost neutralizes spikes in temperature and relative humidity, keeping the environment consistent and, in indoor cultivations, VPD dialed in.
