Wiggle Wire Lock, 6’ section.
Wiggle wire is used in greenhouses to secure greenhouse plastic, insect screening, or shade cloth to the frame. It works with a channel (also known as a lock channel) or side clasp roll bar that is attached to the greenhouse structure. Typically, one screws the channel into the greenhouse frame, then drapes the plastic or shade cloth over the channel. Then you “wiggle” the lock into the channel, effectively clamping down on the material and holding it firmly in place. This system provides a relatively low-cost, effective, and durable way to manage greenhouse coverings.
Most prefer our PVC-coated wiggle wire to that made from galvanized steel. That’s because it is easier to handle and less likely to damage the greenhouse plastic during installation or removal. Furthermore, due to its durability and ability to withstand harsh weather conditions, it is a reliable option for securing greenhouse coverings. It’s also reusable, allowing for the removal and re-attachment of coverings as needed. You’ll be happy you have it when switching from winter plastic to summer shade cloth.
